Its amazing how grey monsoon clouds bring all the color and happiness on our mother earth and in our hearts.
I am here with my latest creation under the flag of ‘Asasa…you’re the treasure’ – German Silver oxidized Jhumka set.
When I sat down to work on these, it was raining outside and I thought “why not incorporate the essence of monsoon in my piece?” And here I am with this one.
Taking inspiration from the grey monsoon clouds, the base and background for this set of jhumka is of oxidized German silver with a combination of turquoise wooden and seed beads; and its lovely to see how it has turned out.
This year is about to end, and in these ending hours the best thing to do is to look back at all the memories we created in the past days. The time spent with our family and dear ones, the celebrations and also the teary moments (everyone might have had one or two…i guess).
The good memories bring us smiles and laughter and not-so-good ones bring along some lessons and experiences… So lets look back and preserve the best ones, so that we may re-live them forever (figuratively).
Lets save our memories…in these super cute photo frames 😛
Do you remember when we were kids, as in, in 1990s? There used to be a kids’ show telecast on our Indian National TV Channel named ‘Potli Baba Ki’! This show was telecast only during summer holidays and contained lot many small stories, poems and puppet shows with some morals and lessons in them.
Inspired from that, here I have come up with this ‘Potli’ of mine that does not contain lessons but surely can contain your love and carry it all the way to whoever you gift it.
Along with love it can also be used to carry gift items like small religious idols, small jewelries like pendants, ear-rings, anklets, bracelets, or something like chocolates, candies, etc.
Matting and layering technique is applied along with different motifs and embellishments to create the outer look. Along with pre-written message on the right hand side of the card, provision is also made on the left hand side for personal message (if any) to be written by the person giving the card. Also, on the left side, the border of the personal space, Medium Daisy punch is used for the red flowers with Small Momiji leaf punch for bushy leaves.
